Women’s League for Conservative Judaism

Introducing the New Mid-Atlantic Region

The Mid-Atlantic Region was formed in May 2008 when the Philadelphia Region, the Southern New Jersey Region, parts of the Eastern Pennsylvania Region, and parts of the Central New Jersey Region joined together to support their common goals.

The mission of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism is to strengthen and unite synagogue women’s groups and their members; support them in mutual efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative / Masorti Judaism in the home, synagogue and community; and reinforce their bonds with Israel and with Jews worldwide. Our region’s purpose is to help member groups succeed in fulfilling these goals by providing training, management seminars, general trouble-shooting and problem solving as well as networking for Sisterhood leaders.

Our programs seek to instill the religious ideals of Judaism into the lives and homes of its members, emphasizing Jewish ethical teachings as they apply to individual and group life. The Region encourages involvement and participation in contemporary issues on the local, national, and international scene.

An active arm of the worldwide Conservative/Masorti Movement with close ties to The Jewish Theological Seminary and the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, we support their programs through the Torah Fund Campaign.

Women's League provides a complete program of involvement for the modern Jewish woman, her family, and her community.   If you are not already a member of one of our 44 sisterhoods, you can find the sisterhood closest to you by clicking on the
Sisterhoods link at the top of this page.  Join us today and see what Women’s League can offer you!
