Leadership Institutes

Endeavor · Discover · Dialogue

Women’s League for Conservative Judaism -- committed to developing skilled and knowledgeable leaders -- invites you, as a member of an affiliated Sisterhood, to attend an inspiring three-day Leadership Institute that will expand your skills as a leader while enhancing your knowledge as a Jewish woman.

The Leadership Institute presents a unique format allowing you to build a personal program to expand your Jewish knowledge and leadership skills. Choose workshops and seminars most relevant to your interests, and meet and network with other Conservative Jewish women who share your passion for pursuing learning and personal growth.

This Leadership Institute brings together prominent speakers, seminar facilitators, and promising Jewish leaders (including you).

The next Leadership Institute will be held in New York City, from July 25-27, 2010.

If you are a member of Women's League and would like to attend the next Leadership Institute, please log in to the Women’s League website and go to LIVING. Scroll down to Leadership Development to download an application.

LISTSERVES FOR JUDAICA SHOPS AND SISTERHOOD PRESIDENTS
Women’s League has just inaugurated an on-line discussion group for Judaica shop chairs. Moderated by Chair Jacki Stevens and Lois Silverman, internet services coordinator, this is an opportunity to share questions, concerns, and achievements with other gift shop chairs across the continent. To post your questions

Please post only questions and information pertinent to Judaica shops. Hopefully by sharing our knowledge, we will have more efficient and financially successful gift shops for all of us!

Questions? Contact Chair
Jacki Stevens.

Sisterhood presidents also enjoy an online discussion just for them. The Women's League PrezNet invites every president of an affiliated sisterhood to join the conversation that will make them stronger and more comfortable as presidents, no matter if their sisterhood is large or small, thriving or in need of help.

For everyone else in Women's League, WLCJNet continues to be a vibrant forum for our sisterhood without walls. Ask for advice, offer a solution, keep everyone up-to-date. To join, click here.

Resolutions
Women’s League has been engaged in creating and acting upon public policy and social action resolutions for over 60 years. We have individually and collectively made our voices heard on contemporary issues that affect Jewish life and the greater welfare of the world. The body of resolutions provides the authority for Women’s League’s support of a wide range of public policy issues. Resolutions are presented to the delegates at convention for approval and action. Any member of Women’s League who would like the convention body to address an issue is invited to submit her idea for consideration.   For information, contact Rita Altman, Public Policy & Advocacy chair.   A Guide to Writing Public Policy Resolutions can be downloaded from the website, under Public Policy & Advocacy.
